Here at Smartys Day Nursery, it is our intention to make our nursery accessible as possible to children and families from all sections of the local community. We aim to ensure that all sections of our community have access to the nursery through open, fair and clearly communicated procedures. We do encourage a minimum of two sessions per week to enable the child to have continuity and to adapt to nursery life; we will of course try less sessions if required depending on how well the child settles.

We welcome all to visit Smartys with a pre arranged booking, to enable prospective parents to view the nursery in action and to gain a feel for the environment.

Smartys Day Nursery offers 15 Free Educational hours to two year old's that are eligible and all 3 and 4 year olds.

As you will know all 3 and 4-year-olds in England already get 15 hours a week, or 570 hours a year of free early education. From September, parents of 3 and 4-year-olds in England (subject to eligibility criteria) may be entitled to 30 hours free childcare, ie an extra 570 hours of free childcare a year, so 1140 hours in total.

Smartys Day Nursery will be offering the 30 hours Free Education hours as part of an pilot scheme to eligible families where the child attends Smartys for 4 or 5 days per week. This provision will be spread across the year (rather than over 38 term time weeks).
