Smartys Experience

Here at Smartys our staffing team is committed to providing a happy, safe, warm welcoming and enabling environment for children and their families.

We at Smartys implement the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (September2012) for all of our children. With the EYFS(2012) we plan and provide activities and resources for all, our staff are devoted to implementing the EYFS to the highest standard to ensure the children gain a varied and fulfilled routine with the best childcare experiences in their early years.

Staff regularly observe the children throughout their play to enable them to offer feedback to you and to develop an ongoing ‘Learning Journey’ book of your child’s development. These assessments are ongoing and look at each and every developmental area of each child. These are available to see at any time.

We consider play is very important in the early years. We carefully choose our resources to ensure that all aspects of your child’s development will be enhanced. Each room follows a timetable with a variety of experiences on offer to the children. These activities include:

Outside play is vital and attempt to access the outdoors at all times. We have our own fenced outside space: which is divided into three areas as well as the local nature reserve area.
